Wild Bill is a classic example of this. Not only was he a cold-blooded killer, but he was also notoriously known for his love of poker and table games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gambling in itself was hugely popular in the days of the Old West, but it was far from legal in most states. As a result, gamblers and casino operators needed to find new ways in which they could continue to offer games without the harsh regulations and legal issues that came with operating on land.
